Instructions

Jett Sett Basic™

Step 1Step 1. Heat a sufficient amount of water in our Hot Pot or Electric Pickler (enough to completely cover the amount of Jett Sett Basic™ being used). Use a dial thermometer to ensure that the water temperature is between 145°F and 170°F.

Jett Sett Basic™ should not be heated above 180°F. Doing so may cause the material to lose it's desirable properties and become tacky.

Steps 2 and 3Step 2. Pour the desired amount of Jett Sett Basic™ into the heated water.

Step 3. Once the material has softened, use tongs, tweezers, or a similar instrument to remove it from the water.

The amount of time needed to soften the material will vary depending on the amount of material used and what form it is in. A large solid mass of Jett Sett Basic™ will require more time than smaller, thinner pieces.Step 4

Step 4. Using caution in handling the heated material, squeeze Jett Sett Basic™ with your hands to remove excess water.

Step 5Step 5. Form the material as desired.

Step 6. Allow Jett Sett Basic™ to cool. The material will harden as it loses heat. Submersion in cool water will speed the process.
