Boron Nitride Spray

A high temperature barrier coating and release agent that can withstand temperatures up to 2600° F. In rubber mold centrifugal casting, it is sprayed onto silicone rubber (about once every ten pours) into which zinc alloys are cast to increase mold life. Investment casters apply it to the inner and outer surfaces of graphite crucibles to extend service life.
