Pearl and Bead Drilling Fixture By Pepetools

Until now, drilling holes in beads and pearls has been an awkward task or you had to use an expensive, motorized apparatus. The new Pearl and Bead Drilling Fixture, coupled with your flexible shaft motor and handpiece, makes drilling a whole lot easier.

Simply place the drill you wish to use into your no. 30-style handpiece (or other 1" dia. Handpiece) and then insert the handpiece into the Handpiece Holder. The stone or pearl to be drilled is held between 2 cup-shaped jaws that move in tandem with the adjustment of one knob. These jaws are designed to hold multiple sizes of pearls and stones. The carriage assembly holding the article to be drilled is then indexed to the right to make contact with the spinning drill held within the handpiece (the Handpiece Holder remains stationary). The carriage assembly can be rotated 180 degrees so that the stone may be drilled through the other side. The hole so created will be in alignment with the hole bored on the previous side. For those occasions when you need to use coolant while drilling, the Pearl and Bead Drilling Fixture is provided with a drip bottle equipped with a drip valve, tubing, and air relief valve. Lubricant drips automatically onto the article being drilled. Excess lubricant flows into a collection tray built into the carriage.

The Pearl and Bead Drilling Fixture is mostly constructed from machined aluminum. Overall dimensions are 9-1/2" long x 3-3/4" wide x 5-1/2" high (240 x 95 x 140mm) exclusive of the indexing handle and the drip bottle. Provided with an assortment of 5 Diamond Core Drills in the sizes 1mm, 1.25mm, 1.5mm 1.75mm & 2mm.
