Rosewood Drawplate For Drawing Chain

Constructed from rosewood, through which 12 perfectly smooth holes are bored. Soft or woven chain is drawn through these holes to reduce them in size and to smooth out lumps in the chain. The tang of the Drawplate is installed in a bench vise, or it can even be held in the hand. The chain is first drawn through a hole that is slightly smaller than the chain, and then drawn through successively smaller holes until the desired size is attained. You can use chain nose pliers to pull the chain. Each draw will result in an increase in the length of the chain of between 15% and 25%. Hole diameters range from 1.2mm to 8mm. Overall dimensions of the Rosewood Drawplate are 3.5" x 2.5" x 5/8". Made in India.
