Copper-Based Casting Alloys

Contenti offers the jewelry and novelty industries a full range of copper-based casting alloys. Each alloy has been fabricated from high quality primary metal sources. Each batch is guaranteed to be consistent in such performance characteristics as fluidity, ductility, hardness, color and solidification.

Yellow brass classification. Excellent flow & ductility characteristics. Also contains amounts of antimony, nickel, tin, and silicon. (63% Cu, 32% Zn, 2% Pb) Melting range 1625-1650° F, pouring range 1700-1900° F.

Lighter colored alloy with excellent tight grain solidification traits. Considered a silicon bronze. (95% Cu, 4% Si, 1% Mn) Melting range 1580-1789° F, pouring range 1850-2250° F.

Hardest of the silicon bronzes. Ductility is limited, but castings are very clean. (92% Cu, 4% Zn, 4% Si) Melting range 1580-1780° F, pouring range 1900-2050° F.
