Contenti Moldex Synthetic Mold Rubber

This synthetic mold rubber is as soft and pliable as modeling clay, allowing you to press your model into the rubber without time consuming cutting and pre-forming of the rubber. No rubber residue adheres to models, even after repeated vulcanizations. Molds can be made using the powder separation method: apply Mica Powder to the two mold halves before vulcanization, and the mold just splits apart after vulcanizing. Powder separation eliminates the laborious task of cutting a mold apart. In its vulcanized form, Contenti Moldex is self-lubricating, so that waxes can be cast without using release agents. As a result, wax surfaces are shiny and smooth, which means better metal castings. Moldex is sold by the pound in sheets measuring 15" x 15" x 1/4" thick, and each sheet weighs 3 lbs.
